This is a short video tour through a mini food forest I’ve been developing in a Ft. Lauderdale backyard. No Bob Ross impersonations, dialog from Winky or stupid jokes. Just raw, unadulterated tropical goodness.
(I really wish I was in this growing zone – though I wouldn’t want to live in the city.)

Was curious to know how close to the trunk of a citrus tree (lemon, orange, etc) doyou put your compost? I have heard varying comments from right up to the trunk to leaving a 2’ circle away from the trunk etc.
I generally just throw the compost around within a few feet of the tree. Up to trunk is fine, but more feeder roots are around the edges of the canopy.
This is an awesome start! I look forward to watching the follow up video to see how your food forest is progressing.
There are some recent videos on my YouTube channel – it’s amazing now.
