The gal that was handling my new Facebook/Instagram/Pinterest accounts has departed. She’s quite talented but was in too much demand and had to drop some clients, including me.
I’m not going to bother updating Facebook, but I do think I’ll see what I can do with the Instagram account, since it’s a good place to show off gardening photos. I never saw the use of it before but I have been told it’s useful somehow. Guess I need to look into that.
I am still on YouTube, of course, but haven’t posted anything new in too long. I will get back to that soon.
I’ve also jumped on the new social media site Oneway, and I am on Minds.com.
As for Pinterest, I mostly use it as a place to save woodworking ideas, paintings, musical instrument designs and some gardening. There are a lot of crummy gardening sites out there with nice pictures but third-world-tier writing, many of which get pinned.
I’m also on Patreon, but that doesn’t really count as social media. I post there occasionally and have a few solid patrons.
That’s it, so far as I can remember. If you’re on social media and can re-post my articles and videos now and again, it is much appreciated.
In other news, last night I delivered ten teak mats I created for a local resort.
They were thrilled with them, which is gratifying. Afterwards, I took Rachel out to a beach bar to celebrate.
I have three more mats to assemble today, then I need to start on some furniture and other small woodworking pieces I’m putting together for a gallery show on December first. The local wood is inspiring… I keep finding amazing pieces to work with.
Catch up with you tomorrow.
