I just spent a week doing an agricultural consultation for a non-profit in Alabama, but I am now back in Florida. Though I am in South Florida right now, most of what I own is in North Florida, including batteries for the Canon I film with.
By God’s grace, we found a house this week and are getting ready to move. For those of you who are wondering where I have been and if I am ever going to get back to writing posts and filming videos, fear not. This is just a complicated transition time. Once I am in a house and have internet again, I will be back in the saddle.
Gob bless – see you all soon.

I am so glad to hear that you guys have found a home for your family and the seedlings! ;-) Hope your trip to Alabama was great!
Glad you are doing well, although, it’s unfortunate that Alabama the Beautiful wasn’t able to persuade you to stay.
Whereabouts are you?
I live in Grand Bay, Alabama along I-10. The Southwest corner, very near to Mississippi. It’s quite, a lot of land for cheap out here and if you really want to go shopping in either direction (Alabama or Mississippi); everything is 20 minutes or less via Interstate.
Very cool. I am in Baldwin county now.
Hoping all goes well settling into your new home (Yay!) and this season is a fruitful and extremely blessed one for your family. The Florida gardening community can sure use as much survival techniques and experience as you can give once you have all in place and are up to that again. :) We are here for you all too, in prayer and however The Lord leads us to be. So glad you also already were working that is awesome too.
Glad you found a home. Just curious about what part of the state you are landing in. Renting or did you buy?
Renting near Pensacola.
Congratulations. Praise God.
Awesome! I’m in the same zone just 15 hours or so west
Welcome home! Praise G*d for His care and faithfulness to you and your family! Looking forward to the road next traveled. Hope at some point your schedule will bring you to Texas … especially EAST Texas!!!
Hey,
Just a reminder to you and your family that local food banks still have a surplus of food and are more than willing to hook you guys up. Just go look online and I’m sure there are some great ones up there near Pensacola. They have really good stuff right now.
Also, if you or your kids want to volunteer a couple hours at the food banks they will really take care of you guys.
Peace
Pensacola? Is that still in Florida even?
Well, it’ll be nice to settle into a spot to call home for a while.
I hope your plans haven’t been upended by the hurricane and you’re all safe.
Hello, I live in near Anthony. If you need help with the move, let us know.
Sorry, I posted too soon before reading the other links. Be safe!
Thank you, Leann.
Hope you and the family are all still safe after all that literal Sturm und Drang.
David, Welcome Home! Hopefully you were not impacted too badly by the welcoming committee, Hurricane Sally.
Every country has it’s issues including the USA. Each municipality has it’s own fiefdoms but at least we get a say in the process here. I wish you and the family the best!
Stay safe & be well.
Craig
