I have been spending this week working on the illustrations portion of the second edition of Create Your Own Florida Food Forest. There are two hundred illustrations planned, of which almost 100 are completed by a wide range of volunteer artists. The text has been done for a few months but I’ve been working on other projects rather than working through the illustrations. Spring has been busy with planting, video production, answering lots of questions via email and comments, launching a new publishing house, etc. – but this book needs to get out, as does Garden Heat: A Jack Broccoli Novel.
Speaking of getting out, Grow or Die has now been republished in ebook form by Good Books, my newly launched publisher. I need to do some more work on the Good Books website, but it is at least functional now. We currently plan to publish not only my books, but books from John Moody and Steve Solomon.
Create Your Own Florida Food Forest (2nd Edition) will probably be the first “new” book published by Good Books. I had a good run with Castalia House but it is time to launch out on my own. I am excited to see how it looks in print, as it’s now been transformed from a non-illustrated 14,000 word booklet to a 75,000 word book with 200 original illustrations.
Check out some of the illustrations so far:
It’s going to be great.
I’d better get back to it. I have more illustrations to gather and sort.

Awesome, David! Can’t wait for this and I’ll add that if you were to expand your book Starting a home-based nursery; I’d totally buy it again.
Thank you.
