I grew up in a rural area where every household had several guns; they were used for hunting, back yard snake killing (seriously! lol), and fun (skeet, trap, etc). I don’t ever remember a single incident of children or teens taking guns and shooting themselves or others intentionally or accidentally. Parents taught us to respect the power of the fire arm AND to respect human life. We were taught how to use a firearm safely; muzzle control, trigger control, know what you’re shooting at always. I read something online after the latest tragedy that I agree with, it’s not a gun issue, it’s a heart issue.
Yes indeed. Actually, getting rid of public schools makes more sense than banning guns.

You don’t think a teenager with an assault rifle is a bad combo? I get having guns for protection, but there should be a line. We live in an age where children are being raised by people who could give 2 shits less about them than where they get their next fix. I support gun rights, however I believe as our population has reached such a mental deficit as a whole that a competency test and psych eval should be required. To be clear, I support gun rights, but the NRA has gone too far when they’re attacking the victims of this senseless act that could’ve been prevented/limited if the SRO had actually done his fucking job. Maybe your ocean view from your new country is clouded reality with nostalgia about your old one? Get out of politics and back to what’s important.

Uh, we give teens full auto weapons all the time, they’re called Marines. This last mass shooting was a tragic result of dropped balls by the various law enforcement agency’s. The NRA is being attacked for no reason, the NRA is being used as a scapegoat in this complete failure of the FBI and local police. Good for you David for joining, I’ve been a member for years.
