May I ask what is that crazy looking fruit? Assuming it is an edible fruit but not totally sure.
Yes stunning, but what is it??
No guesses, anyone?
Morrenia odorata! So cool to watch the seeds flake off and drift away in the wind. Still haven't eaten one yet, but would love to.
And we have a winner!
Hey David, have you ever tried cultivating the milkweed vine?
It seems pretty durable and puts out a decent bit of fruit (wild at least).
No, because it’s on “The List”; however, I have seen it growing prolifically on a fence a little ways away from me. Looks beautiful. Have you eaten it?
I have in fact. Sorry, didn’t see this. I might be too stupid for this email thing.
It grows on the fences next to the small citrus groves over here in tampa. Taste mighty nice – like a cross between zucchini and white potato. Gotta get them before they start maturing though, cause they start getting inedibely hard.
Right.. so the list. I’m very new to gardening – I guess I add this to the garden I’m growing.. Crap.
Hey – you wouldn’t send me a couple of the seed pods would you? I collect seed pods for dry plant arranging. Let me know.
I don’t have any – this was just one I found.
