This is really interesting:
I used to have a paulownia wood bass guitar.
The wood is very light and easy to work.
We started multiple Paulownia tomentosa trees from seed and planted them in the #foodforest. One of them is already about 20′ tall, and it’s only two years old!
I think they have great potential for multiple uses, but they also get huge very fast, and make lots of seeds. They are also invasive in some areas around here, so caveat emptor.
I am going to keep some just for lumber, and others we will use as chop and drop for the food forest.
As the video relates, it’s only 5-6 years until harvestable lumber. That is really incredible.
