Happy Independence Day!
Unfortunately, my nation lost its war for independence…
…but I can still celebrate with some fireworks regardless. Let bygones be bygones. Any excuse to blow something up, right?
If you follow my YouTube channel, you may have seen the video I posted yesterday afternoon announcing my acceptance of a challenge proffered by my friend Justin Rhodes of Permaculture Chickens fame.
If you missed it, here it is:
That’s right. Not only did I launch a new series airing every Thursday afternoon, I’ve taken up the gauntlet and will be posting a new YouTube video EVERY SINGLE DAY for the next 30 days.
Thanks to my anonymous benefactor who bought me an amazing camera (thank you so very much – I still can’t believe you did that), I have higher quality footage now, plus I’ve spent a lot of time teaching myself to edit video. I’m also writing down notes on what I want to accomplish in each video so they’re tighter, more entertaining and of higher quality than my “hey, there’s an awesome plant let’s film it!” videos of the last few years.
Lots of fun, lots of ideas, plus a lot of footage of our new homestead (which was a blessing out of the blue, thanks to some wonderful friends we met who graciously let us rent a little working farm they owned).
Stay tuned and go subscribe if you haven’t already. I’m going to hit that 15,000 subscriber number this year if there’s any way I can pull it off. Please share the videos far and wide if you enjoy what I create.
Thank you – you all are an inspiring bunch.

Your so politically incorrect with your national flag, David.
I appreciate your sentiments.
(I thought you might have revealed the flag of the tropical nation you have adopted).
As for a video a day… your creative energy astounds me!
Happy Independence day to you too.
Politically incorrect? ME?
“As for a video a day… your creative energy astounds me!”
This from the guy that makes his own clothespins.
