Recently, my sister Christi visited a fascinating spot in South Florida, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens. I asked her if she wouldn’t mind sharing her experience with us. Did you know Fairchild Gardens is the largest rainforest in the continental United States? To read her complete blog post on Fairchild Botanical Gardens, you can click here. Not only is Fairchild a beauty destination, but they also offer educational classes. On their website, they have information on their Plant ID and Horticultural Workshop. Below is a snippet from their website.
“Do you have a plant in your garden that you aren’t familiar with? Or, perhaps are looking to find out its origins and how it came to South Florida? If so, bring your specimen to Fairchild’s Herbarium and let our scientists uncover its secrets! Bring a cutting from your plant to Fairchild’s Herbarium team on the first Friday of every month at 1:00 p.m. and participate in our Plant Identification Workshop.”Â
Thank you, Christi, for enlightening us, and sharing your day at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens.
