We are very pleased to announce the Good Books release of Water-Wise Gardening by Steve Solomon:
This book will change the way you look at water usage in the garden. In it, Steve covers gardening without irrigation, gardening with just rainfall, proper irrigation techniques, spacing your plants for maximum growth, surviving drought conditions and more.
Our ancestors relied on the rain, not on city water. You can too – and it will ensure your garden survives difficult times.
If you have irrigation available, Steve teaches you how to make great use of it. If you don’t, you’ll learn how to grow with nature.
Some years ago, Steve Solomon released the small book Gardening Without Irrigation. When I asked him if Good Books could re-publish it, he said no. Instead, he decided to re-write and expand his original book to include more recent information as well as his insights on using irrigation.
Water-Wise Gardening could save lives in a drought, and will save water in any garden. I highly recommend it and am very honored to have Steve Solomon entrust its publication to our young publishing house. This is a must-have book for any survival or gardening library.

Ordered!
Any way we can get Steve Soloman’s latest book by NOT ordering through Amazon?
Yes – it will be on the Good Books store soon. It takes time to get all the distribution channels set up.

Hi David! I’m reading through this now and greatly appreciative for the work yall did publishing this updated book.
I have been searching up and down google images, pinterest, museum records, etc…. I cannot find the painting used for the cover- its a fantastic piece. What is the title and who is the artist? Thank you for your time.
