As I prepare to move to my land, I have been researching the propagation of coffee from cuttings, seeds and grafting.
This video gives a very good low-tech overview of coffee propagation from cuttings:
I like how instead of a greenhouse, they are using white plastic sheeting to maintain humidity during rooting.
My goal is to plant 65-75 coffee trees in a hedge down one side of my property. Over time, this should more than supply our coffee needs per year, plus provide some extra beans to share.
You can learn more about growing coffee (and other caffeine sources) in my booklet How To Grow Your Own Caffeine. In it I cover coffee, tea and yaupon holly, as well as interview a successful Kona coffee grower in Hawaii.

Hey, sorry for the off-top. Just realized how to transfer pictures of the house from my phone to my computer (yes, it’s been a while), so here it is:

As I said, it’s basically a cracker house.
Looks amazing, man. Thank you.
Learning from your post.I am very
much interested to plant a small coffee garden.
Thanks

I did propagate as per your instructions but after 3months no root. What would be the problem
I am not sure. If the leaves are still green, I would keep waiting.
