Yesterday I posted 10 through 6 of my greatest hits on YouTube… today I’m going to cover the final five.

YouTube Top 10 Countdown #5:
Beekeeping Lessons: A Beehive Check Up and Maintenance with Allen the Beekeeper
When my friend Allen let me film his beehive check-up and maintenance, I had no idea the video would be so popular. It’s closing in on 9,000 views. We’ve currently co-writing a book on Beekeeping in the South, so stay tuned on that.
YouTube Top 10 Countdown #4:
5 Year Old Food Forest in Florida
My food forest tour has gotten a lot of views. After we decided to sell our homestead, I included this video in the listing page which then was shared all over the place. I’m quite happy with what I accomplished and the new owner really loves the food forest. This tour is up to almost 10,000 views… but it’s still got a ways to go to catch up with the tour video I posted in 2013… which is next in the countdown!
YouTube Top 10 Countdown #3:
David Goodman’s Florida Food Forest: July 2013
This 2013 video has already garnered over 15,000 views. You can really see the changes that have taken place when you view this tour compared to the one from 2015 above. It’s amazing how much everything has grown. I wish I could do one for 2016 as well… it’s going to be truly unbelievable by summer.
YouTube Top 10 Countdown #2:
4 Ways to Beat a Freeze and Keep Tropical Plants Alive During Winter
Â
This video has been an ongoing favorite and always gets plenty of views as the cold approaches in the fall. It’s now skipped through 20,000 views. Boom!
AND NOW FOR THE WINNER ATÂ #1:
How To Make Your Smoke Detector Stop Beeping
Of all the videos I’ve done, this one both has the most views and the most hatred directed towards it. I did it as a joke, obviously, but people sure are serious about their smoke alarms.
Heh.
Despite the dislike, it’s closing in on 24,000 views. Crazy.
I’ll be working on a bunch of new and exciting YouTube videos this year so keep watching and if you’re not a subscriber, you can subscribe here. My goal is to get 5,000 subscribers by the end of 2016.

So you sold the homestead?
Where are you moving ?
Don’t hold out on us!
Your web readers need to know how to pack for the move.
We are coming with you after all ;-)
LOL
Do enjoy you videos quite a lot. I tried the chewing tobacco recipe, and it was way too sweet for me. I cut back the molasses (no apple, tried that before and didn’t like it), added more salt, and got a pretty good product. I tried a few other flavorings and have settled on cinnamon and black pepper. Makes a pretty good chew. I don’t usually just stick a wad in my mouth though, I wrap it in a strip of cured leaf first. Keeps my teeth cleaner, and gives something to actually chew on.
That’s really cool – thank you.
