Nomadic shepherd Aaron Fletcher lives life in a completely different way:
His systems are brilliant. I am very impressed by how he figured out the logistics of caring for sheep, feeding himself and having shelter using very little resources. Stories like these are the reason I subscribe to Kirsten Dirksen’s channel. It’s not the life most of us would choose, but it’s certainly resourceful. This man could shrug off an economic collapse better than most.

David. You’re absolutely right. That man is a genius! And it’s awesome that he keeps the masses and socio-economic conditions in mind when developing his systems. I’ve learned much from him, and sooo much more from you (which is why I buy your books).
Thank You!
Wow, that video had me riveted – so many low-tech, high-ingenuity solutions I would have never thought possible! Thanks for posting – this was truly inspiring. Obviously not a lifestyle that would work for everyone – I can’t imagine one would be able to raise a family this way. But what an empowering alternative to handouts and public shelters for the homeless! If setups like this were made available to those without the means to make the initial investment, I imagine it would appeal to a lot of people, even if only as a transitional phase on their way to something more desirable.
People like Aaron Fletcher give me hope that humans will find a way to cope with the inevitable collapse of industrialized growth- and consumption-oriented civilization. I think it will be creative and innovative people like him, developing new systems for alternative ways of living with the land, that will help us reinvent society – not top-down one-size-fits-all mandates from technocradic elites in Davos.
