Terrie writes of her Florida gardening success:
“Thanks David The Good! SOME of our Seminole pumpkins – seeds from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange. Range 1-7 lbs. They are SO beautiful! And delicious! And so are the Yard Long Beans – aren’t they AWESOME hanging down inside the trellis arch! (arch idea from Roots and Refuge Farm) THANK YOU SO MUCH for the ‘top Florida crops for beginning FL gardeners’ that will “go right through the heat”. We moved to Florida 4 years ago. We started the garden in a community garden at the end of February 2020. What a tremendous blessing straight from God’s hand to have this glorious distraction in all the cray-cray! Thanks again and we look forward to meeting you soon…in Florida…YAY!!”
Great work! It’s a bean jungle! And those are some lovely Seminole pumpkins. I will add your photos to the Seminole Pumpkin Project gallery.
I wrote Totally Crazy Easy Florida Gardening to get people growing what works in Florida instead of forcing non-adapted varieties to thrive. The methods and the crops work! It’s always encouraging to see others apply my research and succeed beyond their wildest dreams.
I can’t wait until spring when I can grow some of these amazing crops again – and I hope to meet you in person soon, Terrie. Excellent job.

That’s awesome! I really want to try both of those in my garden next year. I have a lot of work ahead of me this Fall, reclaiming my garden area and hopefully making some improvements to keep it from being overrun again.
Why did you leave Costa Rica?
See my Goodstream titled “The Big Move” on my YouTube channel, or go back a few weeks of posts here and you’ll see.
