Might be related to sacred datura.

I don't think so, since it was a climbing vine. The flowers also don't match – just did some Googling. Good try, though.
I actually had a datura pop up in my garden one year and went, "Whoa… what is that? It looks like something the devil planted!!!" Took me a while to track down what in the world it was. Apparently they're really poisonous, too, so not something I really wanted in my lettuces…
Looks like Clematis reticulata to me.
