Update: Thanks to , we have an answer: it is indeed “Florida Greeneyes,” also known properly as Berlandiera subacaulis.

This is the closest I could find with those leaves at the base of the plant

Special: Not native; invasive. Likes disturbed places
It looks close, but the flower and leaf shape doesn't match. I have false dandelions in my yard. Same family though.
