I don’t think this bamboo is a clumper…
The original plant is the 3′ tall clump at the bottom right of the photo. I planted it a couple of years ago and have no idea where I originally got it, though I thought I had obtained a nice clumping type.
Last year it grew a couple of feet upwards from its original height of about a foot… then this spring it totally surprised me by putting up these massive canes.
Running bamboo is incredible stuff.
Guess it’s time to close down my nursery, give up on the food forest and move. Hehhehheh.
