Lots of new videos on my YouTube Channel!

I’ve been getting more serious (hehehhehheh… serious is perhaps the wrong word) about posting videos on my YouTube channel lately. A lot of folks really appreciate seeing rather than just reading.

Since I lost the help of the very talented guy that helped me create the Crash Gardening series, I got a better camera that did HD video, then spent some time learning how to edit better video on Final Cut. It’s a great program but there’s a steep learning curve. I’m getting there.

One of my recent videos may be the strangest video on YouTube. I created it as a test of both my editing skills and my viewers’ patience. My wife thinks it’s utterly retarded, but the children thought it was hilarious. Presenting The Weirdest Perennial Peanut Video Ever:

For you YouTubing haters out there giving me the thumbs down… I’ll make you all eat your thumbs when I win that Guinness World Record for “creating the weirdest video ever produced on the perennial peanut!!!”

It’s going to be a category soon, I know it. And I’ll win.

On a more helpful note (perhaps), I also created another video on my Florida mushroom hunting finds:

I’ve been having good luck, but I’m hoping the wild mushroom finds will further increase once the weather cools down a bit more.

A few days ago I also posted a little video on some of the non-invasive yams growing in my front yard food forest:

And I posted a video on the ground cover layer:

If you’re not subscribed to my channel, go sign up here. I can pretty much guarantee you won’t find the videos boring. ;)

Finally, yesterday regular reader Ryan sent me the song “What If the Lights Go Out” by Dead Prez in an e-mail, thinking I’d appreciate the preparedness-minded nature of the track. I did, so Rachel the Good and I decided to cover the song, just for the heck of it, and post it on the channel:

I have to say: my wife keeps great time with a knife sharpener. She also kind of reminds me of Sarah Connor.

2309065-t2sarahconnor2Anyhow, have a great weekend. I’m going to keep posting videos until the internet explodes. I’m having way too much fun to stop.

Who says gardening has to be boring?
