Though I generally like growing directly in the ground, I have to admit: I’m tempted to do a few self-watering gardens, especially since I’ve already got a half-dozen pools for my Chinese water chestnuts. This grow bag garden idea is out of the box, for sure.

I'm converting my 5 gallon self-watering buckets to his gutter system with air pruning. I've been wanting to do it for a while. My current system has been awesome.
