This may be my best video ever:
What other garden writer could pull off a powerful documentary-style search for a rare fruit tree? What rare horticulturalist would turn away from his perfectly spaced beans and dream up a film dripping with such raw and poignant emotion, not to mention 80s-era nostalgia?
I’m feeling like the Da Vinci of YouTube right now, despite the fact that my wife refuses to speak to me after I egged her into watching this powerful, powerful, amazing film.

MMM! Bilimbi pickles!
I’m sorry I never grew one in South Florida but I did have access to other friends pickles…
I guess it is not too late to add one to the North Central Florida greenhouse experience.
It would fit right in with the Mango (in fruit!), Ackee, Guava, Papaya and Lignum Vitae.
Sounds like a great greenhouse already. A little bilimbi would be a nice specimen to add.
I wanted to watch it, but stopped 3 minutes in, because the tracking effects were irritating. No doubt they were added to create the mood of the film, but my brain protested at the 3 minute mark. It looked like you had a lot of fun making the film though, and got quite a workout, walking the first hour to track it down. :)
A Bilimbi Ent? It moved after the first time you saw it.
+1000 points for a Tolkein reference
