I had a little bit of a break this week from work so I made some benches for the sides of our dining room table.
The legs are pieces of driftwood I found on local beaches. I like the rough, battered look. I stuck to square pieces for the legs because they were easier to cut on the miter saw and make even.
The saman wood is the wood I wrote about in this post.
Every once in a while I enjoy a woodworking project. It’s in my blood. Now that these benches are done, we’ll be able to sit around the dining room table as a family again for the first time in over two years.

What sort of disc did you use with that grinder? The benches look great, I really like the two tone and intricate grain of the monkey pod. We hope everyone is doing well! We are on baby watch this week, and hoping it goes as smooth as last time!
I used an 80-grit sanding disk.
And congratulations!!!
