I’m praising Him every day…
And… for Florida! Heck yeah!
That’s in my backyard. How can I NOT by thankful for plants like those?
I think I’m creative… but God? He’s unbelievable. Yet… beyond His creativity… the thing I thank Him for the most is that He sent His son Jesus to die on our behalf… so we can enjoy the presence of the Lord forever, no longer stained with sin and filled with hatred, angst, sorrow and frustration. There’s another world beyond this one which is filled with beauty beyond our understanding.
I pray you’re coming along with me… we’ll be gardening for all eternity.
“You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you.” Nehemiah 9:6

Everyday I think about how beautiful the new earth will be. And how so much more it will be with the glory of Christ, the Saviour. Looking towards my new home! No location on this worn earth has anything to compare. And, looking at your photo…I see you have not only papayas, but roselle sorrel, too! We harvested some roselle to dry not long ago.
Amen to that – your posts show that desire in you. It's good to see.
Yes – the roselle is great stuff. We haven't dried any yet, but we have made it into "cranberry" sauce at Thanksgiving, made tea from it, turned it into jelly – and eaten the leaves in salads. The salads are really good and just make the plant a total "win" in my book.
And telling stories, too.
Oh yeah – I won't forget the stories, Madame Writer.
Neat post, David. I am so proud of you. I get a LOT of emails every day and even though I'm not much of a gardener right now, I always open yours and read them and enjoy them all the way through.
Thanks a bunch, Carolyn. Your magazine was my first garden writing outlet – I won't ever forget that.
Aw, brother, those papayas look awesome! Isn't God awesome? Like all the things He created!
Amen! God is good! He is the source of our strength in time of needs when we're feeling the lowest.
How awesome is He, that He created those and let us enjoy them as much as possible. Can't wait for the moment when we see Him face to face. Your garden is definitely awesome. Love to read your blog and browse through the pictures. :)
