Here it is – my illustration of prepper garden tools for the end of the world!
TEOTWAWKI (The End Of The World As We Know It) is right around the corner… do you have a good set of tools in case you need to feed yourself in a grid-down situation?
After God, Guns and Gold, you might want some of these…
Prepper Garden Tools for TEOTWAWKI
I made this hand-out for the classes I taught last week.
If you’re going to survive in a downturn, you need to grow your own food. Without proper garden tools, you won’t be prepared. I’ve gathered up everything from scythes to wheelbarrows to grub hoes and more. It makes sense to have these garden tools on hand just in case. And if bad things never happen, I still use them in my garden… so no loss!
Like it? Want more drawings? I’m itching to do some more art, even if it’s just silly garden illustrations and not hard-boiled detectives in black and white…

Yes, I like it. That's a nice visual. It communicates the message very well.
Thanks. I'm decent at drawing, but I really want to paint like this guy:

Eventually I realized there was no way I had the talent to do classical figure work… so I moved on to writing, since I had a much higher base skill level.
If you are itching to do more art, then just do it! Art does not need any more excuse than that.
You're right. Maybe it's time to bust out the paint, too.
Funnily enough, just today I got my Kusatori Ichiban weeder (looks wicked), Nejiri Scraper, Kusakichi saw tooth sickle, and a serrated edged Hori Hori which is MAGNIFICENT! How have I lived without them???!!! Especially the Hori Hori digger! And, they can double as self defense weapons!
YEAH! I'm a sucker for good tools.
Actually, as part of my nursery business, I'm now retailing Clarington Forge spades and digging forks. Everyone that sees them freaks out over the quality. They're the last British forge making garden tools. Expensive, but they last a lifetime.
I love things like that. I should probably post on them and let people know what I have. Time… time… time…
The one tool that I knew I needed to be really choosy about was garden shears, because they were the tools that I used most often and in the widest range of situations. I did wrestle for a while deciding which of the garden trowels I would want to use, but finally I made a choice and placed an order. Now that I have all of the gardening equipment I could ever need, my garden is doing wonderfully, and I love the fact that we are saving so much money and eating healthier than ever!
