The new book is HERE!
Are you a normal person who wants to grow food? When you search online, it all seems too complicated! But if you give up, what if something happens to our supply lines? What if we have an economic downturn? What if you can’t feed your family?
Wouldn’t you like to know how to grow food without feeling like you need a triple doctorate’s degree in chemistry, horticulture and soil science?
You might think you need expensive raised beds or complex aquaponics systems, purchased soil, piles of mulch and exotic tools and fertilizers – but you don’t. You’ve been sold a bill of goods.
In this book you’ll learn how to cut through the complexity and just grow food using simple and time-tested methods. You’ll discover how to find easy-to-grow varieties, and you’ll learn how to simply put food on your table without expensive and time-consuming methods.
If you have a little land, a little time, and the desire for a healthier life, you can put fresh produce on the table, grow an abundance of hearty roots and greens in your backyard, and stop feeling overwhelmed about gardening.
This book shows you how.
Free your mind and embrace simplicity with Minimalist Gardening.

YYEEEEESSSSSS!!!! Ordered and on its way! THANK YOU, DtG!
I feel you mentioned this somewhere but can’t find it now. I don’t buy anything from Amazon. Where else can I purchase your books?
Thanks in advance!
Local bookstores can order them through their distribution.
Thanks David!
Got it! Can’t wait for the chicken book. And wasn’t their going to be one called tactical gardening about creating “death hedges” and related things? I’d buy that too.
Yes. Tactical gardening is a very complicated piece of work – haven’t finished it yet.
Hooray!
I just placed my order, can’t wait to read it.
I love your books, your writing style is captivating and hilarious, whilst also being educational and informative ❤️
Much love always from Australia
Thank you, Leah.
Just ordered it. Will arrive this weekend.
I am reading Grocery Row garden and trying to figure out how to adapt to zone 5 (SE Ohio) and our 5 month frost free growing season.
Lots of options there. Plums, apples, pears, hazelnuts, asparagus, gooseberries, currants, lingonberries, horseradish, rhubarb, blueberries, honeyberry… it would be fun to create.
And thank you, Doug.
Just ordered a copy right now!!
Thanks, Cate.
Do you think it will be eventually available in kindle format? I like to buy both paper and digital copy of any garden books. Definitely looking forward to reading this one :)
Yes, it will be.
Hi David, found you through VoxDay. I live in Houston, TX and so far have been terrible at starting and keeping a vegetable garden. I just want something simple to execute. Can this book really help a total beginner like me?
Yes – especially if paired with “Grow or Die.”
