I’ve now seen the new film Permaculture Chickens and it’s an instant classic.
I shared the final video in my friend Justin Rhodes’ series on raising chickens in my most recent newsletter. (If you read that, please pardon the repeat information in this post.)
Justin is the creator of the the film Permaculture Chickens and in the new video, he shares how you can get it.
I was able to get an advance copy of this new more-than-feature-length presentation and I can tell you right now: it’s the best video I’ve ever seen on the topic.
Period.
Engaging, info-packed and beautiful.
And it has Joel Salatin in it. Sold!
I wish I’d had Permaculture Chickens when I started raising birds. I built multiple different chicken enclosures and tractors before I got one that was decent… and I still lost chickens to predators with that one. I also spent way too much on feed and wasted a lot of time fiddling around with trying to get things right.
If I’d had this movie I would have saved hundreds of dollars on construction materials, not to mention time… and additional hundreds on feed.
Here’s a sneak-peek at one of Justin’s simple chicken tractor design from the film:
He’s got so much information in there you’ll find yourself pausing the film, going back, watching again, re-watching and just soaking in the data.
One of the things I really like about Permaculture Chickens is that Justin isn’t some snake-oil salesman or slick marketer. His passion for his birds comes through and you feel like you’re being mentored by a really knowledgeable friend, not somebody that’s talking down to you. He’s a normal guy… who also happens to be a total expert on chickens. Through the film he covers egg production, feed, water, housing, raising chicks, health and even preparation for the table… plus (as an ad guy might say) a whole lot more!
I recommend getting the film if you have any interest whatsoever in raising chickens on your homestead. Worth every red cent.

I think there’s only one day left on the introductory offer.
I can recommend it without reservation and Justin is also answering questions at that link from anyone that asks.
Geoff Lawton opened my eyes to the vast potential in permaculture food forests. Justin studied under Geoff Lawton and has done the same with chickens.
Check it out!
If you end up buying Permaculture Chickens through my link, Justin will share some of his royalties with me. I’d promote the video regardless, but I want you all to know.
