Thanksgiving is one of my very favorite holidays.
When you start counting your blessings and thanking God for His provision, it’s incredible how your mood changes.
“My job stinks” is transformed into “I’m grateful for employment despite the economy!”
“I hate my back pain” is transformed into “thank God I don’t have to lift refrigerators for a living!”
“My car is always breaking” is changed into “thank God I can still walk.”
This year I’m very thankful for:
Healthy children
Organic food from the garden
Good muscles and a good workout routine
A loving wife
Great friends (Allan, Sam, Nate, Dad, Cathy, Kevan, Andi, Ray, Rick, Mart, Joel, Vox, Fran, Jean & Donnie… and many more of you I can’t remember at the moment!)
Fruit ripening on the trees
A great publisher (thank you, Castalia House!)
Mentors that push me forward
My fellow gardening companions
A massively successful book launch
A job I love
Meeting movers and shakers that push me onwards (I’m looking at you, Mike Cernovich, Vox Day and P. D. Mangan)
Calories in the ground
..and a lot more.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, everyone. I’ll be posting a bunch of updates from The Great South Florida Food Forest Project soon, plus I’m hoping to film a lot more videos.
Stay tuned and don’t eat too much stuffing!
“The LORD [is] my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” -Psalms 28:7
