I’ve been so busy working on writing and YouTube videos that I haven’t been hitting my normal morning posting routine lately.

In about an hour I’ll post today’s new YouTube video. We’re getting a lot done at our garden lot. Here’s Rachel in yesterday’s video explaining how to make “tea” from nitrogen-fixing leaves:

Any nitrogen-fixer should make a good high-nitrogen homemade fertilizer. Throw it in a barrel and let it rot down. Voila! Weed tea! Feel free to throw in all sorts of plants, including whatever you find growing in your garden without permission. You can something similar with comfrey, moringa, Tithonia and even grass. Take the hard work those plants did gathering minerals, then let it rot down and become food for your garden.

Call it compost tea, fermented plant juice, or fetid swamp water – it all works.

On an unrelated note, I think I might get some more dead refrigerators to garden in. I like them a lot.
