Tom Petty has always been one of my favorite songwriters – I was shocked and saddened to hear today’s news.

Music and memories. Free fallin’. Being woken up at 6 am at the Skydiving training camp in 1990 to Free Fallin’ shaking the walls.
I liked him. Good songwriter. Loved the wilburys……. I think he was the primary writer of Margarita.. I could be wrong… interesting song.
Only 66… gee whiz… bowie 69.. glen frey of eagles in his 60’s I think… not sure… all missed. gary shandling…. and some personal friends of mine in their 60’s
what the hay is going on… way to young….some of it may be mis spent youth…and others just the way it is…. I wont back down definitely inside out.
A big favorite of mine as well… Very sad. But it was quick an he lived fully till the end. The Gainesville Boy will be missed.
