Robert sent some pictures of my favorite Florida pumpkins:
The Seminole Pumpkin is so special it gets its own chair.
This is one of the larger-fruited varieties.
Robert told me he “got seeds from a lady in Ormond.”
So who knows the pedigree? Land race pumpkins are wonderful. There are a lot of varieties floating around. You can see my ongoing chronicle of types on this page I dedicated to Seminole Pumpkins.
If you have pictures you’d like to submit, send them my way.

I’m going to try growing Seminole pumpkins this year; they sound great. I got seeds from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.
I’m concentrating on things that grow well with few pest/disease problems, etc. Waltham Butternut Squash is a tried and true that I always grow (as do lots of people, of course).
