Here’s a clever tiny garden design for those of you stuck in a pathetic condo-centric existence:

And… BTW… what the heck are you doing in a condo? GET OUT AND BUY YOURSELF SOME AG LAND BEFORE DOOMSDAY… OR NUCLEAR DEATH GERBILS WILL EAT YOUR CHILDREN!!!
Okay. I’m done.
Self-Watering Container Gardening
Self-watering container gardens can really be made from almost anything, provided one thing has holes… and the other thing is slightly smaller and can sit inside of it. My sister used 5-gallon buckets for her container gardens and they worked great:
If you have a tray that holds a few inches of water, you can put it under your pot, then let water sit in there. It will soak up through the soil and get to the plant roots. Put pebbles in the tray if you’re worried about mosquitoes breeding in your container garden.
You can also do like my friend Mart does and use reusable cloth grocery bags as containers and sit them in a kiddie pool or along the edge of a pond. They’ll last a couple of years and soak up lots of water for your plants without becoming too waterlogged and anaerobic.
Buying yourself a little time away from your plants is a good thing. If you’re like me, you forget to water now and again. Make a self-watering container garden and that won’t be a problem.
