Five Years of Research!
That’s how long I tested methods for growing tropical edibles outside their “natural” range.
I talked with experts, I killed a lot of trees, I visited gardens, I planted things in really strange places… and over time, I figured out how to make many exciting tropical plants grow where they don’t normally grow.
That research led to my latest book – which is now here!
I am pleased to announce Push the Zone: The Good Guide to Growing Tropical Plants Beyond the Tropics just went live on Amazon.
“In PUSH THE ZONE: The Good Guide to Growing Tropical Plants Beyond the Tropics, David The Good shares his successes and failures in expanding plant ranges, and equips you with the knowledge you need to add a growing zone or two to your own backyard. Based on original research done in North Florida, PUSH THE ZONE is useful for northern gardeners as well. Discover microclimates in your yard, use the thermal mass of walls to grow impossible plants and uncover growing secrets that will change your entire view of what can grow where!”
Featuring a foreword by Dr. David Francko, the author of PALMS WON’T GROW HERE AND OTHER MYTHS.”

Many of you encouraged me along the path and I thank you for your great questions, kind words and gracious support.
This book fills a niche that needed filling – you’re going to love it.

Any plans for a print version?
Yes. My publisher releases ebook versions first, followed by print a few months later.
Excellent! Much greater chance I’ll read and use it and keep it handy if it’s print. You’ll send out notification in the newsletter, presumably?
Absolutely.
