…to buy 1,000 Gladiolus bulbs and plant them in my front yard.
They look amazing. I saw bulbs at Home Depot yesterday and thought about what fun it would be to fill the front yard with them.
What would it cost – $200? That’s only 1/3 of a stimmy check from Uncle Sam. Hey, if they’re gonna print money…

If they grow anywhere near as well as they do where I live, why get 1000? Just get 10 and wait a couple years, you’ll have 1000…
I had a small area planted with glad bulbs and when I decided to take them out and put something else there, it took me a while to completely eradicate all the little buggers. They make so many little bulbs that when you decide to try and remove all of them from an area, it’s almost impossible to dig out all the tiny bulbs. The remaining little bulbs just keep popping up and you have to go through another round of digging. They do make some really pretty flowers, however.
I didn’t realize they were that prolific.
I looked at those same packs of bulbs yesterday. But they had hundreds of packs of the same variety mix, and the colors on the package were all kind of washed out pastels.
OK, but not the nicer colors I know are out there.
I got some seeds instead.
Yeah, I get it. I bet they buy the overstocked discount stuff and bag it all together.
