Old wooden houses are definitely mouse-prone. Every winter a few get inside. They’re a minor nuisance most of the time. Fortunately, some of my sons are quite adept at trapping them.
Each mouse carries a $5 bounty in our house, so there is hot competition.

Haha at my original homestead there was a house from 1920. We couldnt ever get rid of them. When we moved to our new place we had the same problem. However this tiem we found a company that was able to fix it. They did a few things with traps, but the biggest work they did was 1) sealing off the crawlspace with metal grates on vents, replacing crawlspace door with a screwed in piece of wood, filled in cracks in concrete.
