“A good nameĀ isĀ better than precious ointment,
And the day of death than the day of oneās birth;
Better to go to the house of mourning
Than to go to the house of feasting,
For thatĀ isĀ the end of all men;
And the living will takeĀ itĀ to heart.
SorrowĀ isĀ better than laughter,
For by a sad countenance the heart is madeĀ better.
The heart of the wiseĀ isĀ in the house of mourning,
But the heart of foolsĀ isĀ in the house of mirth.
It isĀ better toĀ hear the rebuke of the wise
Than for a man to hear the song of fools.
For like theĀ crackling of thorns under a pot,
SoĀ isĀ the laughter of the fool.
This also is vanity.
Surely oppression destroys a wiseĀ manāsĀ reason,
And a bribeĀ debases the heart.
The end of a thingĀ isĀ better than its beginning;
The patient in spiritĀ isĀ better than the proud in spirit.
Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry,
For anger rests in the bosom of fools.
Do not say,
āWhy were the former days better than these?ā
For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
WisdomĀ isĀ good with an inheritance,
And profitable to those who see the sun.
For wisdomĀ isĀ a defenseĀ asĀ moneyĀ isĀ a defense,
But theĀ excellence of knowledgeĀ is thatĀ wisdom gives life to those who have it.
Consider the work of God;
For who can make straight what He has made crooked?
In the day of prosperity be joyful,
But in the day of adversity consider:
Surely God has appointed the oneĀ as well as the other,
So that man can find out nothingĀ that will comeĀ after him.”
-Ecclesiastes 7:1-13
I read this passage this morning. We are in the midst of trying to figure out an unexpected situation, and trusting that the Lord will provide. I’m not going to be able to post many new videos, if any, as we’re suddenly very busy, but I’ll try to do a livestream later today.
Rachel and I and the kids are fine and healthy – we’re just dealing with a complicated issue that we know God will resolve. I was thinking about how many people we know are hurting and suffering and am trying to be thankful that we are getting a chance to have ourselves tested through something unexpected. I hope to keep a good name and to also remember:
The patient in spiritĀ isĀ better than the proud in spirit.
Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry,
For anger rests in the bosom of fools.
And also:
SorrowĀ isĀ better than laughter,
For by a sad countenance the heart is madeĀ better.
I don’t want to be too cryptic but have to be for now. I believe good things are coming soon as God works out the threads of His loom in ways we cannot understand.
If you want to pray for us, just pray that we can:
Be gracious in all things
Have a good name
Love others with God’s love
Know for sure where God wants us
Be filled with joy in the hard work before us
Learn what God wants us to learn
Thank you. And if there’s anything you want us to pray for you about, leave a comment. Love you guys.

Praying for you all.
Heavenly Father,
We humbly ask for your loving grace, guidance and peace to be bestowed upon the Good Family for their special intentions and for our brothers and sisters who are in most need . In Christ Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you, Gina.
Father, I lift up the Good family to You in Your grace, and with Your peace. May Your strong staff strengthen them and Your healing balm of Gilead bring them comfort through the power of the Holy Spirit in miraculous ways. You know their needs Lord, just as the birds and flowers are cared for by you, I am asking in Jesus’ Name that your will be done, and that whatever the situation be, that You will show up strong and that Your name be glorified. Amen.
Thank you. Amen!
Thank you so much.
