Since I was a little kid I’ve always wanted to dig deep enough to hit water.
Where I live I believe the water table is around 20-25 feet. That’s a bit rough for shovel digging, not to mention dangerous, but one of these days…
Anyhow, if you’ve got the urge to start digging, check out my new post at The Brilliant Homestead HERE.
One of these days I’m going to attack it, just for fun. I like the idea of a shallow well for irrigation in case my main well loses power for a long period of time.
I probably have to pick up one of these cool Berkey water filters before too long.
Also, I apologize for falling off on The Brilliant Homestead posts. I’m getting back on track now. The spring nursery season really threw me for a loop, not to mention all my book writing.
If anyone has some great homesteading ideas, shoot them my way and I’ll do my best to address them in longer articles over there.
