Love this video! Rachel is a gem! We all know she’s talented behind the camera but she shines in front of the lens as well! Thanks for providing loads of great content
Granny’s third set of teeth. I’m rolling
My husband and I also live in Alabama; central Alabama. I stumbled onto one of your videos on youtube and have been using your method of creating and using your fetid swamp water. We had corn stalks that were amazingly tall with the tallest being 12’9″. The state record is 13’3″ :)
Some of the cobs were as long as 14″ shucked. Needless to say my husband was thrilled with his corn. The swamp water has helped all our crops so far this year and we just wanted to say thank you!!!!
We would love to be able to correspond with you. We are both Alabama natives (other than my 15yrs living in Michigan during my 20s and 30s). I know you probably have your hands full but if you would like to gather some local knowledge and tips from us and pass along some tips and knowledge you guys have we would love to correspond.
Thank you!

How wonderful! Nice to meet you! My email is david@floridafoodforests.com – maybe we can meet up at some point.
love your youtubes, have a couple of your books (love them). I remember reading an article some time ago that you mention a florida seed coop exchange or to buy seeds. I’m in the sarasota/ bradenton area and looking to grow zone 10 edible plants. Could you please supply me with the info? Thanks Keith Pratt Keith@BeagleBayOrganics.com
I have no idea where or what that was – must have been a while ago. There are some gardening groups that have seed swaps, though.
Update
We are still using the fetid swamp water. Our gardens and orchards are expanding. So the swamp water production has ramped up. We now have 3-50 gal barrels in rotation. 1 being used, 1 full and aging, and 1 being filled. Now we are sharing our swamp water with some natural gardening friends. After a deep discussion about how to use it. Now I just send them the link to the video with Rachel. So we have decided to ramp up the swamp water production again. Now we will add 2 more 50gal barrels. When the fertilizer shortages start. I’m pretty sure we will be able to fertilize the 30 acre farm across the street. Probably not. But I know if I fill a barrel ¼ with kudzy and another ¼ with chicken manure bedding. Add 3 weeks of summer heat and i could probably fertilize an â…› acre of corn.
The strained solids mixed with old wood chips go around our fruit trees sparingly. Thank you again for turning us onto fetid swamp water and the entertaining informative videos.
May the LORD bless you and keep you may his face shine on you.
Phillip
