In which we put in practice the teachings of Ann Ralph and the savants at Dave Wilson Nursery:
Thank you, Leo, for tolerating being on camera!
These methods of keeping fruit trees small are easy and fun to practice.
In the past, we’ve festooned trees and it’s entertaining to see them “set” in their sideways growth. Doing one of the pear trees in Leo and Sherrie’s Grocery Row Garden that was was a fun addition.

Aloha David!
Your books and web site have been such an inspiration to me over the years! I know you love Muntingia calabura, and as a thank you, I would be so pleased and proud to send you a natural hybrid of the red and yellow forms that I found recently here in the gardens! I’ve named it Pukalani Pink and the berries are bright coral pink! I just did my solstice prune and will get some babies rooted for you! Please let me know where I should send them.
