The poll I posted is neck and neck between Vice Gardening and Dirt Farming with 700 votes recorded:
I think I’ll start on Dirt Farming now, then write Vice Gardening. If I work hard I can get them both done this year. I have a huge amount of information I need and make notes on for Vice Gardening.
Create Your Own Florida Food Forest (Second Edition) is supposed to be done by mid-month. I’ll be working on the cover design today. The South Florida Gardening Survival Guide is being proofread and should come out within a month or so. The illustrations by Tom Sensible are amazing – can’t wait to get it in print.

Hooray! I voted for Dirt Farming. Badly needed here.
David, could you write a book about how and what we can grow to feed chickens, goats, sheep, and maybe more on our Homesteads. In case we can’t buy feed somewhere else, How can I keep my chickens and goats alive without two much loss of nutrients? Is that too much to ask? Really tough to do? I have some land but not alot.
It’s a difficult topic, as I’ve not experimented enough. I don’t have a working system for feeding all the animals without purchased feed, so I hesitate to make any serious recommendations.
I will read both of those, but since I missed the original poll, I vote for Minimalist Gardening for number 3!
I would suggest a cookbook with lots of pumpkin recipes! I’m going to try your melon pit method, and we are going to need recipes for all those pumpkins,
That’s a fun idea. We’re not experts, but we do use the ones we bring in. Mostly, we cut them in half and roast them with butter and garlic.
