I’m going to take a break for a while.
My Dad, Bill Perry, was driving home from teaching at a summer camp on Sunday of this week. While traveling through Georgia, he ran into a rainstorm and his car hydroplaned off the road and into a tree. He survived the crash, but his brain injuries are so severe he has no chance of recovery, outside of God’s intervention. He’s currently in hospice, surrounded by family. I can’t make it due to my current visa situation, but I’ve been able to see him and my family and pray and sing hymns along with them over the internet. Dad is only in his mid-60s and was in great health. Now he in a coma and fading.
He is a good and godly man, as you can read in my Father’s Day post from last month.
My family is not rich, but my siblings have traveled from all over to be with Dad. If you want to help Mom and the family with the medical and travel expenses, you can give here.
Please pray for Dad, my family and that God will be glorified no matter what happens. I wish I could be there, but my mother, brother and five sisters are doing well without me. They’re all great people and will take care of Dad.
He gives and takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord.
Thanks, everyone. I’ll be back.

I’m so sorry David. I have prayed for healing and comfort. And for resolution to your Visa situation.
David, I’m so sorry to hear this. Mid-60s is still young, and you anticipated having your father for many more years. To have your father wrenched away so suddenly is a hard blow to you and your family.
Sami and I will keep you, your father, and your family in our prayers. God bless, and take care.

Dear David,
Words have been written to you. I can only echo their sentiment. I pray that your faith is steady and strong no matter the outcome. We can not lean on our own understanding in this fallen world. There is no searching of his understanding.
Bottom line we all send our love and prayers to you and your family.
I’m so sorry to hear this, and I’m praying for your family and your father.
Our Prayers are with you and yours. If there is anything we can do let us know.
Offering prayers for you and your family.
David, our prayers are with you and your parents. So grateful for Eternity and the Price Christ paid for us to be with Him and each other forever, but so hard to walk in the here and now and grieve … and also pray, asking for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done now in your father. Our hearts are with you and yours, with our love.
Nancy and I are remembering you and your loved ones before the Lord.
