We spent most of Saturday helping to make cane syrup from sugarcane with a new friend we met at the Gulf Coast Homesteader Meetup.

Hi. Where do you get sugar cane starters or whatever it’s called to get a little crop of them going? Do you have a link to some place or do you sell them? Thank you very much
I get starts from the local farmers’ markets and sometimes ethnic markets. This is the time of year to hunt.
That’s very interesting, sweet corn harvest, then syrup processing.
That’s…interesting. I wonder if it’s variety specific or any kind of corn will do.
likely to be similar to high fructose corn syrup, but certain to be healthier as a small batch grind extraction, interested to learn more
