It is good to make friends with local farmers.
This morning we got over 300lbs of beef delivered by a farmer friend. Locally raised – and it’s delicious. We had some for breakfast.
A few years ago I went full carnivore for 40 days and felt amazing. It is good to eat meat and we are blessed to get so much.
Even better: this freezer is an old one we got for free. All we had to do was strip all the rust off it, then prime and re-paint it.
God is good.

It is a good feeling to have a freezer full of food! God is good!
All the time.
Yes! You found a local meat farmer! I feel like the best impovement we’ve made in the last few years in terms of the food we eat was when we switched from buying “organic” meat from the grocery store, to getting all our meat from a local farm that, though not certified organic, raises all their animals on pasture and without antibiotics or hormones. And when you buy in bulk it comes out to about the same price anyway, but the taste doesn’t even compare. Nothing quite as satisfying as putting tens of pounds of meat in the freezer. Of course I’ve never had enough freezer space to get 300 lbs of beef at the same time, so I get a warm fuzzy feeling just looking at that photo.
