I spent Saturday at a cane boil in the Florida panhandle with friends.
We get started at around 7AM, then ground sugarcane and boiled the juice into syrup until almost 9PM. Two years ago, I shot a film there and let Marcus explain how sugarcane syrup is made.
This time, I let the events tell the story, and filmed the entire process from start to finish using my Osmo Pocket III. It’s a beautiful little film – I’m uploading it now. I hope to premiere it soon, so stay tuned.

Really cool video on the processes of making cane syrup for sure last night. Looking forward to trying that someday.
