Hey man was wondering when this book is coming out in paperback? I’d love to purchase it! I don’t do the kindle thing…and if I did it wouldn’t much help if TWAWKI came crashing down. Please I wanna read this let me know! I could only find it for kindle on Amazon.
Thanks for the question – I’ve been asked this by quite a few folks thus far, so you’re not alone. My publisher should release the paperback version by early spring – they did the same thing with “Compost Everything.” I’ll make an announcement when it comes out.
David, thanks for linking to this. The book was really great. You’ve inspired me to start digging up my horrible (inherited) gravel covered shrub beds to plan with something more useful (edible). I’ll need to check out your other book too now.
I had hoped to include a video with my review of when I was living off insects in the African bush. When you fry them, they taste a bit like bacon bits. If I manage to find it, I’ll add it to the post.

Hi, this the third of your books I’ve bought. I’ve been very impressed and appreciate all the info on different types of gardening styles. I am an experienced flower grower…not so much with the vegetables but “this is the year!” Apparently I’ve done a lot of permaculture type things naturally without knowing they were a thing, so it’s nice to find my people. I bought the Easy Fl book, Grocery Row, and now Grow or Die. My question is should I buy Fl Survival next or Food Forest? I’m in NE FL on a one acre lot out in the -used to be- country. Thank you, April. Create Your Own Florida Food Forest (the big 2nd edition) is focused on creating a food forest, with lots of species ideas and inspiration. Florida Survival Gardening is more focused on maximum food production.
