Earlier this year I posted a few videos produced by my videographer cousin Jeff.
We rethought the format and the style and are now releasing a new season of Crash Gardening.
10 shows are planned thus far, covering composting, gardening methods, weird root crops and more. The production schedule isn’t hammered down yet but we’re getting there.
As for video #1: since I get a lot of questions about growing and harvesting cassava, we started with that topic.

I would love to see how you prepared the soil and intercrop planted as shown in video 1 of the survival series Farmer Dave and the Econopocalypse. It sounds like you just threw the seeds out there.
That's what I did, then thinned.
cool! is it necessary to dig the entire plant up at once, or can I dig up just one root for dinner, and leave the rest of the plant in the ground for the future? looks a lot easier than peeling potatoes!
Yes, you can leave roots in the ground. They'll keep.
– just make sure they're connected to the plant. Once a root breaks off the stem, it usually starts to spoil.
