The Goodstream and Amazon Composting My Books

My friend and editor Vox Day told me I should start a regular livestream, so if you’ve been seeing my Goodstreams on YouTube, you can thank him.

Here’s the stream I did last night on “no rules” compost:

As I mention in the stream, my publisher came under attack by what was apparently a rogue employee at Amazon who decided to delete all the financial data, account information and books from Castalia House’s account. This took all of my ebooks offline for a day, along with about a hundred other books, plus it put our royalties in jeopardy.

After I did my stream last night, I received the news that Amazon was working to repair the damage and reinstate our titles.

It’s not good to put all your eggs – or books – or work – in one basket, so my publisher now has Compost Everything and other books for sale here, for those of you who would rather not work with Amazon. Amazon has been good to me over the years, but it’s become obvious they are more fragile than suspected.

I’ll be streaming again this evening, so stay tuned.
