Check out these Florida chanterelle mushrooms!
They were great. These beautiful yellow mushrooms are some kind of Cantharellus I found while on a walk. That’s right – they’re Florida chanterelle mushrooms!
These chanterelles tasted a little fruity with a smoky, meaty, very rich aftertaste. Very, very delicious.

Start with this book and move on from there. You can find chanterelles, boletes, puffballs and other delicious wild mushrooms with a little looking, once you know the time of year and where they can be found. Identify the really easy and safe mushrooms, then move on from there.
