I told you guys some months back that I was planning to plant a coffee hedge. It has officially started!
The variety of coffee I am planting is C. liberica, which you can see in this video:
It is a large, tough coffee with lots of fruit. The flavor is fine as well.
I am psyched. About 90 more trees to plant!

About threatening fruit trees into production. My brother in law tells me about his grandfather, say 50 years ago, walking up to his parents apple tree that wasn’t fruiting (his mother told him about this). He chopped into the apple tree trunk with his axe, making a 20-30 cm nick through the bark into the wood that took a good chunk out. His parents were shocked and angry but next season the tree was absolutely laiden.
