#ediblelandscaping and #flowers One of my projects for a client. Can you spot the okra?
That shot is a close up of the area to the lower left of the chinaberry tree.
Here’s a video I posted this morning that gives you a better idea of the space:
I am coming to the end of my big projects at long last. Here’s a set of teak footbaths I delivered to a local resort recently:
I love the look of the wood. This is what they look like with the bath insert:
I made fifteen of them, one for in front of each apartment, which goes along with the mats I also delivered to the same place:
I made fifteen of those as well. They were so happy with them, they may ask for a dozen more soon.
I’ll tell you what, though: cutting all those teak slats without a table saw was a nightmare. If I have to make more, I’ll need to buy one.
For now, though, I need to take a break and catch up on everything else.
The edible landscaping project has been fun. The manager of the resort was definitely not happy when it was a bare spot of muddy ground. I threw seeds around and kept them watered as they grew, but it still looked bad for quite a while. Now that the seedlings have grown and I’ve mulched the area with bagesse, it finally looks pretty. The blooms will start soon, then we’ll be seeing plenty of butterflies, bees and hummingbirds.
