A few days ago, I shared a video on repelling cutworms with ashes by putting a circle around each seedling:
Since I started doing this, I haven’t lost a single tomato seedling to cutworms. However, a pumpkin and a bell pepper that I did not encircle were both snipped to the ground by cutworms.
Seems to be a good method.

My carrot seedlings come up great, but they often disappear over night. I’ve covered them but it still happened. Any ideas about the cause and the cure?
